Homeland Security Ministry’s State Minister Yoosuf Abdul Gafoor (Yusey) has been dismissed from his position.
AVAS has learned that Yoosuf was relieved of his duties on Thursday, though the exact reason for his termination has not yet been disclosed.
Yousuf is a close associate of former President Abdulla Yameen and Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla. He previously held the role of State Minister of Home Affairs during Yameen’s administration and also represented the Gan Constituency in Parliament.
