Maldives welcomes over 200,000 tourists from China
Over 200,000 tourists from China have visited the Maldives so far this year.
According to the Tourism Ministry, 202,000 Chinese tourists visited the Maldives as of Saturday. This accounts for 14.6 percent of the 1.38 million total tourist arrivals for 2024.

The Maldives currently receives an average of 5,500 tourists per day. The Indian Ocean archipelago boasts 1,222 tourist facilities, including 174 resorts, 881 guesthouses, 153 safaris, and 14 hotels.
