The United Kingdom has appointed Nick Low as its new ambassador to the Maldives.
Low previously served as the UK Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh from 2010 to 2014. He has also worked in Morocco, Chile, Brazil, Algeria, China and India.
Low also served as Deputy Head of the Crisis Management Department at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The new ambassador will assume his duties in January next year. The current ambassador, Caron Röhsler, will continue in her role until the end of this year.
