Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has been relieved of his duties, the President’s Office confirmed on Tuesday.
The President’s Office said President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has decided to dismiss Faisal, with Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed stepping in as the acting head of the Tourism Ministry until a replacement is appointed.
Faisal was appointed as Tourism Minister on 17 November, 2023. The reason for his dismissal is not clear.
