Saudi Arabia has donated an additional ten tonnes of dates to the Maldives.
The donation was received by Islamic Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed at a ceremony held at the Islamic Affairs Ministry on Monday. The donation was handed over by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the Maldives, Matrek Abdulla Al-Ajalin Al-Dosari.
Senior officials the Saudi Embassy in the Maldives were in attendance at the ceremony.
Before the start of Ramadan, the Saudi government donated dates to the Maldives. At the time, every 100 households received 25 date packets.
