Pres Dr. Muizzu highlights gov’t efforts and outcomes in Cabinet statistics
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has shared the government’s recent efforts and achievements through statistics from Cabinet sessions. The numbers were shared by the president while addressing a ceremony held to celebrate the Impendence Day on Friday.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Dr. Muizzu said the country’s independence can be ensured only if economic independence, sovereignty, and defense sovereignty is assured. He highlighted that the government has been actively working in these areas over the past eight months and continues to do so.
In this regard, as part of these efforts, the Cabinet has held 17 meetings and taken 225 decisions so far. Additionally, the Economic Council has made 176 decisions across 56 meetings, while the Social Council has reached 48 decisions in 16 meetings. These decisions are now being implemented, the president said.
President Dr. Muizzu further said he has also launched an important reform agenda to increase the prosperity of the people. If an individual does not feel free, he will not feel the true freedom of the country, he said.
