Parliament suspends sittings for last ten days of Ramadan and Eid

The Parliament has suspended its sittings for the last 10 days of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

As announced by the Parliament Speaker Abdul Rahee Abdulla, the next session of the Parliament will be held on April 7.

“While last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan is up ahead, my sincere wish and advise is for the Honorable Members of Parliament to set an example for the people even during the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan,” he said.

The President has also designated the last ten days of Ramadan as government holidays.
