Parliament Speaker defends dismissed Tourism Minister, praises achievements

Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla has expressed support for his son, the recently dismissed Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal, following his sudden removal from office by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

In a post on X, Abdul Raheem praised Faisal’s performance as Minister, and expressed that him and his family are proud of Faisal. Faisal served with sincerity and honesty, he said, adding that he had produced tangible results in his time.

“[Faisal] won the trust and love of the industry. May Allah grant my son Faisal determination and patience and a brighter tomorrow. Ameen,” he wrote.

The reason for Faisal’s dismissal is unclear.
