The Parliament has approved an extension of its current session until December 15.
Under existing rules, the session was scheduled to conclude on November 30. However, Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdullah sad he proposed to extend the session as it was necessary to address the pending agenda items.
The motion to extend the session was passed with 68 votes in favor, while 11 members opposed it.
