MWSC begins testing water pipeline linking Male’ and Hulhumale’

The Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has commenced testing the water pipeline connecting the water networks of Male’ and Hulhumale’ laid along the Sinamale’ Bridge.
In an interview with state media, MWSC’s Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed said the pipeline has now been cleaned and connected at both ends. The pipeline now has the capacity to circulate 3,000 tonnes of water. When fully functional, the pipeline will be able to circulate 20,000 tonnes of water, he said.
While pump station building for the system is expected to reach completion next month, the electrical network of the site will be upgraded once the pump station is completed, he said.
