MP Qasim offers to sponsor police building in Maamigili

Maamigili MP and business tycoon, Qasim Ibrahim has offered to sponsor the construction of a police building in ADh. Maamigili through his Villa Foundation.
In a letter addressed to Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau, Qasim said highlighted the state budget for the past five years has included plans for the construction of a police building in Maamigili. He said he had decided to fund the construction of the police building in his hometown of Maamigili under the sponsorship of the Villa Foundation due to the “struggles of the government to undertake the project”.
Noting that Maamigili is a large island in terms of population and land, Qasim said a significant number of people visit Maamigili for various services due to the presence of an airport on the island and many resorts nearby.
“If the Commissioner of Police grants permission, I have decided to construct the police station under the sponsorship of the Villa Foundation. Please provide me with the drawings and acknowledgment of acceptance of the sponsorship,” he wrote.
