MMPRC to host vibrant New Year celebrations with Maldives Culture and Food Festival
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Company (MMPRC) has announced plans to hold vibrant celebrations to mark the New Year.
MMPRC said a two-day festival titled Maldives Culture and Food Festival will be conducted from December 31 to January 1 on the occasion of the New Year. The event will take place at Hulhumale’ Central Park, offering unique experiences for both locals and tourists.
The festivities are organized as a collaborative effort between MMPRC, Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Business Center Corporation (BCC), Male’ City Council, Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO), Maldives Police Service (MPS), Maldives Airports Company Limited (MAC), DHIRAAGU, Ooredoo, Maldivian as well as Ace Travels and Gulf Air.
The festival will kick off at 8:00 pm on December 31, featuring a drone show illustrating a tourists’s journey to the Maldives, and traditional Boduberu performances. Cultural showcases such as Dhafi will also be part of the festival. On January 1, the festival will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with family-friendly activities.
