The mechanical parking systems installed in Hulhumale Phase I will be relocated to Phase II.
The vertical mechanical parking systems, designed for four-wheel vehicles, were installed in Hulhumale in 2017.
Transport Minister Mohamed Ameen said the parking systems, which were previously managed by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) have now been transferred to the ministry. Noting that the ministry has been allocated land from Phase II, the parking systems will be relocated to this plot, with the relocation process expected to start within a month, he said.
Once the systems are ready for use, slots will be available to the public at affordable rates, the minister added.
