A motorcyclist has been killed in an accident on the highway connecting to the Sinamale’ Bridge.
Police said the accident occurred when a motorcycle struck a traffic cone placed to indicate ongoing roadwork near the bridge’s solar panels.
The injured man, identified as a Bangladeshi national, was transported to the IGMH for treatment but succumbed to his injuries at 9:05 am on Saturday, police said.
Police are investigating the accident.
