Maldives Hajj pilgrims in good health as final preparations begin for Holy Sites

The Maldives Hajj Mission has confirmed that all the pilgrims who went for Hajj this year are in good health.

A total of 1,000 pilgrims from the Maldives went for Hajj this year under the official quota. The last group of pilgrims from the Maldives departed for Saudi Arabia on Friday.

This year, the Mecca Route Initiative has made the journey of the pilgrims much easier. The pilgrims have expressed their satisfaction with the reduction in the time they have to spend at Jeddah airport.

The Maldives Hajj Corporation is now making the final preparations before the pilgrims leave for Mashair, the holy sites associated with the Hajj pilgrimage that the pilgrims visit during their Hajj ritual.

The Maldives Hajj Mission is working closely with the Saudi government on matters relating to the pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey.

This year’s Arafat Day falls on June 5, and Eid will be celebrated the next day.
