A member of the Japanese Parliament has passed away while holidaying in the Maldives.
MP Toshiyuku Adachi, 70, a member of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) passed away on Friday morning while snorkeling at a Lhaviyani Atoll resort. While severalJapanese media outlets have reported his death, the details around his death remain unclear.
The Maldives government has not made a comment on the incident thus far.
