Interpol has issued a Yellow Notice to help locate Thasleem Mohamed, M. Asaree Handhaan, who went missing from a sandbank near K. Huvafenfushi.
Thasleem, an employee of the Male’ City Council, disappeared during a picnic with a group of 15 people on August 30. The police launched a criminal investigation into his disappearance on September 2 due to the suspicious circumstance surrounding the case.
Police confirmed today that Interpol issued a Yellow Notice for Thasleem on September 12. Yellow Notices are circulated to all Interpol member countries, though not all are made publicly accessible on the Interpol website, the police said.
