Brigadier General Retired Farhath Shaheer has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO).
Farhath’s appointment as CEO follows the dismissal of Dr Vitaliy Liubimov , a Ukrainian national, from the position on 3 March. The reason for Dr Vitaliy dismissal has not been specified.
Farhath has previously served as the CEO of the Male’ City Group of Hospitals, which includes Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Hulhumale’ Hospital and Villimale’ Hospital.
MIFCO continues to face significant financial issues and have been battling to overcome the challenges.
