The State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has signed a contract to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to construct two oil storage tanks in Hulhumale’ Phase One.
The agreement was signed by STELCO’s Managing Director Hussain Fahmy and MTCC’s Managing Director (Retd) Deputy Commissioner of Police Ahmed Saudi during a signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, two 80,000 liter oil tanks will be installed at Hulhumale’ Power House Annex Two. The tanks will be utilised as a backup for Greater Male’ Power Generation in preparation for the peak season.
