BML renews partnership with Tennis Association
Bank of Maldives (BML) has renewed its partnership with the Tennis Association of Maldives (TAM) as part of its support to sports development in the Maldives. The agreement was signed at a ceremony held Tuesday by Karl Stumke, CEO and Managing Director of Bank of Maldives, and Ahmed Hafeez, President of TAM.
Through this partnership, BML will support the National Tennis Championship for the next three years, aimed at developing young players and recognizing top talent in the sport.
CEO Karl Stumke said the National Tennis Championship is the longest-running tennis tournament in the country and said the bank was delighted to continue its partnership with TAM to enable young athletes to further develop their talent.
BML supports the development of sports in the Maldives and is the official sponsor of the national football teams, official sponsor of all national surf teams, and the nationwide partner of the Swimming Association of Maldives. In addition, BML is currently supporting 7 top national athletes from Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Tennis to train and develop at recognized high-performance training centers worldwide through its Sports Scholarship Fund.
