Dialysis services have officially commenced in Velidhoo, Noonu Atoll. The service was launched by providing dialysis service to the island’s first patient.
The establishment of dialysis services in Velidhoo increases the number of islands where dialysis services are available across the Maldives to 16. Dialysis services are currently available in Alif Alif Atoll, Alif Dhaal Atoll, Vaavu Atoll, Meemu Atoll, Faafu Atoll and Dhaalu Atoll.
It is a presidential pledge of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to expand dialysis services to all atolls.
