President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared Thursday, February 6, 2025, as a government holiday. The announcement was made in a directive issued by the President’s Office on Wednesday.
The President made this declaration in accordance with Article 84 of the Constitution of the Maldives, which pertains to the day when the President delivers the annual Presidential Address to the Parliament.
In connection with this declaration, Presidential Directive No. 1/2024 (January 18, 2024) issued by the President’s Office has been revoked.
