JSC investigates Chief Judicial Administrator Rizna
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has launched an investigation into serious allegations against Chief Judicial Administrator Aishath Rizna.
While the JSC has yet to officially confirm the investigation, reliable sources have disclosed that the judicial watchdog is looking into the matter.
Rizna was appointed as the Chief Judicial Administrator in 2020 during President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration, when the opposing Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) held a majority in the Parliament. Her appointment was for a five-year term. At the time of her appointment, JSC also had a government majority.
Prior to her appointment as Judicial Administrator, Rizna served as UNDP Assistant Resident Representative. Prior to that, she served as the Registrar of the Civil Court and the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
