President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed have departed for Singapore on an unofficial visit. The First Couple left on Monday evening, shortly after the President attended a rally at the ruling PNC headquarters.

During his speech at the rally, President Muizzu clarified that the purpose of the visit was to seek a second opinion for an injury he sustained while playing football in K. Aarah and to undergo a check-up for a previous surgery. He dismissed rumors circulating on social media regarding his health.
The President initially sought treatment for his football injury at the main government hospital, IGMH.
