Nimal appointed as LGA’s new CEO
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Nimal as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Local Government Authority.
The appointment was made under the authority granted to the President under the Decentralisation Act. Nimal’s letter of appointment was handed over at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Monday morning.
Nimal previously served as the President of the Male’ Atoll Council. He had also served as Minister Counsellor, at the Maldives High Commission in Sri Lanka and Managing Director of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC). He also served as Managing Director and Board Member of FENAKA Corporation and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism.
Nimal received his Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Charles Sturt University, Australia.
