Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar is set to make an official visit to the Maldives next month, as reported by an Indian newspaper. This will mark Jaishankar’s first visit to the Maldives since President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assumed office.
According to WION news, Jaishankar is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives on August 9 for a two to three-day visit. During his stay, he is expected to meet with President Muizzu and Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer.
Both governments have yet to issue an official statement regarding the visit.
