The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced that Malaysia Airlines will begin operating daily direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Velana International Airport next month.
According to MACL, the airline will utilize Boeing 747 planes with 174 seats for these flights. The launch of Malaysian Airlines in the Maldives is expected to provide greater convenience for Maldivians residing in Malaysia and the increasing number of Malaysian tourists visiting the Maldives, and further boost the Maldivian economy.
