Commissioner of Police Ali Sujau revealed that disciplinary actions were taken against 50 police officers, and 20 were dismissed over the past year.
The CP said action was taken against officers found in violation of rules and regulations to maintain integrity within the police service, by ensuring officers are free from crime and undue influence. He asserted that the agency operates within its disciplinary framework and does not tolerate any misconduct.
“If any police officer violates the law and regulations, swift action will be taken against them,” he asserted.
The CP noted that the agency will fully cooperate with external investigating agencies that oversee the work of the police.
