Maldivian re-announces requirement for Airbus A330

The national flag carrier, Maldivian has re-announced the requirement for an Airbus aircraft.

Island Aviation Services Limited, which operates Maldivian, made the original procurement announcement on 6 February this year. The aircraft, which must feature both economy and business class seats and a minimum of 20 business class seats, is being sought to a five-year lease.

The acquisition is aimed at expanding Maldivian’s international routes. Maldivian already has already acquired an A330 wide-body aircraft, which is now already in operation for international flights.
