Mujuthaz’s CSC nomination sent to parliamentary committee

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has nominated Mohamed Mujuthaz for Civil Service Commission (CSC) membership.
A CSC vacancy became vacant following former CSC Vice-President Ibrahim Rasheed resignation on March 11, while the Parliament was preparing to vote on his removal from office. Of the applicants who applied for the vacant post, President Muizzu put forward only Mujuthaz’s name for Parliament consideration. The nomination has now been forwarded to the Parliament’s Independent Institutions Committee.
Mujuthaz previously served as the Member of Parliament for Hanimaadhoo Constituency and the State Minister in the President’s Office. He also worked in the Parliament Secretariat for many years.
The Civil Service Commission consists of five members. The current CSC members are Commission President Mohamed Nasih, members Mohamed Farusath, Fathmath Shareef and Fathmath Shareefa.
