The Parliament on Tuesday approved the appointment of Mohamed Anas as the Chairman of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu nominated Anas as the PCB President on 13 March. His appointment was approved by the Parliament with 82 members voting in his favour.
Anas holds a Master of Business Administration from the Maldives National University (MNU) and a degree in Accounting from the University of Hartfordshire in the UK.
Anas has previously served as Deputy Minister of Finance, Audit Manager of Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and as at the Finance Ministry. He has also taught as an associate professor at the Maldives Business School.
