National Identity Card printing and issuance services have been officially launched in two islands in Baa Atoll. The service was launched on Wednesday in Baa Eydhafushi and Baa Dharavandhoo.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s government is working launch ID card printing and issuance service in all inhabited islands of the Maldives before the end of this year. The government has also decided to offer the service in Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia and the United Kingdom, where a large number of Maldivians reside for various purposes. The ID card service has already been launched in Malaysia.
